Mforce invests RM10 million to develop 200cc ‘Skuchai’ concept; launch set for early 2027

Mforce Bike Holdings has announced the development of a new 200cc “Skuchai” model.

The company has invested a total of RM10 million into the project, covering research and development (R&D) and design engineering.

The investment also encompasses durability testing, prototype development, and technical adaptations to meet the specific requirements of both Malaysian and international markets.

Skuchai: A Three-in-One Concept

The Skuchai represents a world-first concept that integrates three distinct automotive elements:

  • Scooter design aesthetics
  • Underbone (Kapcai) engine performance
  • Automatic CVT transmission system

Key advantages of the “Skuchai” model include:

  • Ergonomics and comfort inspired by traditional scooters.
  • A lightweight structure characteristic of underbone motorcycles.
  • A CVT transmission for practical urban commuting.
  • Versatility for mid-distance travel and leisure riding.

Malaysian engineers drive initial concept

The development of this model is a collaborative effort between Mforce and its technology partners in China.

This partnership marks a strategic step in strengthening Mforce’s global development network, particularly in platform engineering and technological integration.

Local Malaysian engineers played a pivotal role in the project’s inception, contributing the initial conceptual ideas, design sketches, and clay modeling before the project moved into the production phase.

This synergy of local creativity and international expertise ensures the final product remains technologically competitive while catering to the preferences of local and regional consumers.

Prototype completed; 2027 launch anticipated

According to Mforce Chief Operating Officer Asri Ahmad, the “Skuchai” prototype is fully completed.

The project is currently in the pre-production unit phase for rigorous durability testing and comprehensive performance evaluations.

Asri added that the “Skuchai” will make its public debut at the Malaysia Bike Show 2026 in May.

The official market launch is expected to take place in the first quarter of 2027. Further details regarding full specifications and official pricing will be disclosed closer to the launch date.
