2026 Jetour T2: Launching in Q1 2026, estimated price RM178,888

Jetour Malaysia has announced the opening of bookings for the rugged premium SUV model, Jetour T2, with an estimated price of RM178,888.

With the recent debut of the right-hand drive (RHD) version, Malaysia is among the first markets in the world to welcome this model.

For your information, the Jetour T2 RHD version was showcased during the Shanghai Auto Show in April.

Here are some brief facts about the Jetour T2, set to launch in the first quarter of 2026 (Q1 2026):

 

Engine

The Jetour T2 is powered by a 2.0L turbocharged petrol engine with an output of 245 PS and a torque of 375 Nm.

The engine is paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and features an adaptive smart driving mode, X-Intelligent, which adjusts to the road surface and conditions.

 

Dimensions

The Jetour T2 is a mid-sized SUV with dimensions of 4,785 mm in length, 2,006 mm in width, 1,880 mm in height, and a wheelbase of 2,800 mm.

 

Features

The Jetour T2 comes equipped with LED lighting units featuring a backlit Jetour logo, roof rails, and an external storage box on the rear cargo door.

Jetour Malaysia has confirmed that the T2 SUV will be equipped with six airbags, a tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS), a 360-degree surround-view camera, and Level 2 ADAS driver assistance systems.

Malaysians interested in the Jetour T2 can place their bookings at all authorized Jetour dealers with a booking fee of RM1,000.

GWM Tank 500 Black Edition launched in Malaysia – priced from RM336,800

GWM Malaysia has announced the availability of the Tank 500 Black Edition for the local market, with a selling price of RM336,800.

As its name suggests, the Tank 500 Black Edition features a glossy black finish on several parts, including the grille, Tank emblem, 20-inch rims, door handles, and spare tire housing.

The Tank 500 is also equipped with LED headlights that have a smoky effect.

The basic specifications of the Tank 500 remain unchanged, powered by a 2.0-liter hybrid engine producing a total power output of 346 PS and 648 Nm, paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission.

In contrast to the Tank 500 Black Edition, the standard Tank 500 is priced at RM328,800.

GWM Ora Good Cat GT arrives in Malaysia – 171 PS, 250 Nm, from RM119,800

Great Wall Motor Malaysia (GWM Malaysia) today announced the arrival of its more sporty electric vehicle (EV) model, the Ora Good Cat GT.

The starting price is RM119,800.

There are several differences between the Ora Good Cat GT and the Ultra variant that is also offered.

Dimensions

Compared to the Ora Good Cat Ultra, the Ora Good Cat GT features a length of 4,254 mm (+19 mm) and a width of 1,848 mm (+23 mm).

The height and wheelbase remain unchanged, with a ground clearance of 135 mm.

 

Performance

The Ora Good Cat GT is powered by an electric motor that generates 171 PS and 250 Nm of torque, providing an increase of 28 PS and 40 Nm over the Ultra variant.

However, the top speed is limited to 150 km/h.

The GT variant offers driving modes including Normal, Sport, ECO, ECO+, Auto, and Individual.

Volkswagen Passenger Cars Malaysia (VPCM) has officially announced the availability of the locally assembled (CKD) hot hatch model, the Golf GTI in Malaysia.

The vehicle is powered by a 2.0-liter TSI turbo engine that delivers 265 PS (+20 PS) and 370 Nm of torque.

This power is transmitted to the front wheels via a seven-speed DSG transmission.

TC Subaru Sdn Bhd has officially launched the sixth-generation Forester for the Malaysian market.

The new Subaru Forester is offered in a single variant, the Forester 2.5i-S EyeSight, with a starting price of RM221,500—higher than its predecessor.

Here are some key facts you need to know:

 

Engine

The all-new Subaru Forester features a 2.5-liter boxer engine (FB25) that generates 182 hp at 5,800 rpm and torque of 247 Nm at 3,700 rpm.

This power is transmitted through the Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive system via a Lineartronic CVT.

Additionally, there’s a Subaru Intelligent Drive (SI-Drive) mode that allows drivers to select either the Intelligent or Sport mode, providing enhanced acceleration performance and better fuel efficiency.

 

Chassis

MODENAS has officially launched the highly anticipated supermoped model, the MODENAS Z15GT 2025, for the Malaysian market.

It features a single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine with a capacity of 149.5 cc, capable of generating 16.8 hp at 9,500 rpm and a torque of 13.5 Nm.

Motosikal dan Enjin Nasional Sdn Bhd (MODENAS) today launched the new Kawasaki Z900 2025 in conjunction with the opening of the Kawasaki Technical Centre (KTC) in Glenmarie.

The Kawasaki Z900 is powered by a 948 cc liquid-cooled inline-four engine that produces 123 hp at 9,500 rpm and 97.4 Nm of torque at 7,700 rpm.

 

This power is transmitted to the wheels through a six-speed transmission paired with an assist/slipper clutch.

The bike’s suspension features 41 mm inverted telescopic forks at the front, complemented by a horizontal back-link setup at the rear.

The braking system employs four-piston calipers with two 300 mm rotors at the front, followed by a single-piston caliper with a 250 mm rotor at the rear.

 

The Z900 comes equipped with several electronic assistance features, including:

  • Two-channel ABS
  • Quickshifter
  • Electronic cruise control
  • Traction control (KTRC)
  • Riding modes
  • Kawasaki Cornering Management Function (KCMF)

A five-inch TFT display supports connectivity to the RIDEOLOGY app, along with turn-by-turn navigation functionality.

In addition to the standard variant, the Kawasaki Z900 is also available in an SE variant that includes a package featuring:

  • Adjustable 41 mm inverted front forks
  • Ohlins S46 gas rear shock absorbers
  • Brembo braking system with M4.32 calipers and dual 300 mm rotors

The Kawasaki Z900 2025 is available at all Kawasaki All-Star and Kawasaki Exclusive dealers across the country, with color options including:

  • Metallic Moondust Grey/Metallic Spark Grey/Candy Lime Green with a Golden Blaze Green frame
  • Metallic Spark Black/Metallic Carbon Grey/Flat Super Black
  • Striking Metallic Matte Graphic Grey/Ebony/Metallic Graphite Grey with a Golden Blaze Green frame exclusive to the SE variant

Perodua introduce digital lifestyle offerings through new platform – P-Circle

Perodua today is moving closer towards incorporating Mobility as a Service (MaaS) under its super App: P-Circle.

“The P-Circle offers mobility as a lifestyle as all these offerings covers a significant portion of our online services engagement under one super app,” Perodua President and Chief Executive Officer, Dato’ Sri Zainal Abidin Ahmad said.

“This diversification into tech-based business is in line with our future direction and the auto industry’s future in terms of convergence with consumer preference towards connecting their vehicles, and even homes with the Internet,” Dato’ Sri Zainal said.

“We foresee that this convergence to only grow stronger in the years to come, and we want to prove that we can innovate by providing all the services our customers’ needs before they ask for them – which is in line with our “We Go Beyond” philosophy,” he explained.

“A key component in MaaS is to offer drivers flexible solutions based on their travel needs and the package that we are offering fits right into that description,” he said.

One of the key components of the P Circle is the is the P Duit, an e-wallet, which makes payments easier for nearly all transactions in Malaysia.

“This feature will be useful for those looking to own our first EV (electric vehicle) as we have made an agreement with all charging point operators to agree to accept payments from our e-wallet,” Dato’ Sri Zainal said.

He added that “P Vehicle” will only made available after Perodua’s EV launch.

Dato’ Sri Zainal said that the P Guardian is a surveillance app offered together with P Charge where you can monitor the condition of your home from the camera attached to the P Charge.

KOVE 450 Rally reintroduced in Malaysia – priced from RM39,900

Mdua Motor Sdn Bhd, the official distributor of KOVE Moto motorcycles in Malaysia, has reintroduced the 450 Rally model for the Malaysian market.

Previously introduced, the KOVE 450 Rally is powered by a liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine with a displacement of 449 cc, paired with a six-speed transmission.

It delivers 51.7 hp at 9,500 rpm and a torque of 40 Nm at 7,000 rpm.

The suspension features adjustable 49 mm YU-AN inverted forks at the front, complemented by a YU-AN piggyback shock absorber at the rear.

The braking system uses a dual-piston caliper and 290 mm rotor at the front, assisted by a single-piston caliper and 240 mm rotor at the rear.

Included features consist of LED lighting units, a TFT display screen, a high-performance exhaust system, and a USB charging port.

The overall weight of the bike is only 145 kg, with a fuel tank capacity of 30 liters and a seat height of 910 mm.

The retail price in Malaysia starts from RM39,900 on-the-road, excluding insurance, road tax, and registration.

2025 KOVE 800X GT officially launched in Malaysia – priced from RM48,888

Another motorcycle model has been launched by KOVE Moto, the adventure machine KOVE 800X GT.

It is powered by a 799 cc twin-cylinder engine that produces 97 hp at 9,000 rpm and 80 Nm of torque at 7,500 rpm, paired with a six-speed transmission.

The motorcycle features four riding modes: Comfort, Rain, Sport, and Off-road.

The suspension consists of adjustable 43 mm KYB front forks with a wheel travel distance of 210 mm, complemented by adjustable preload KYB shock absorbers.

Key features include an electronic throttle system, a two-way quick shifter, cruise control, dual-stage TCS (Traction Control System), a damping system, hydraulic steering stabilizer, and a tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS).

The fuel tank capacity is approximately 22 liters, while the seat height is 826 mm.

Available in a single color, white, the KOVE 800X GT is priced starting at RM48,888.
