2026 Volvo ES90: to be launched this month, registration of interest now open
Volvo Car Malaysia has opened interest registrations for the upcoming electric sedan model, the Volvo ES90, which is set to be launched this month.
The sedan will be offered as a locally assembled model (CKD), joining the existing range of CKD Volvo models in Malaysia.
According to Patricia Yaw, Sales & Marketing Director of Volvo Car Malaysia, “This year is very meaningful for us as Volvo celebrates its 60th anniversary in Malaysia.
“What’s more special is that this achievement is celebrated with the Volvo ES90 CKD, our first fully electric sedan.”
The Volvo ES90 shares the same SPA2 (Scalable Product Architecture) platform as the Volvo EX90 and features the following:
- 800V electric architecture
- Fast DC charging up to 350 kW (10-80 percent SoC in 22 minutes)
- Power output of 333 PS and 480 Nm
- Driving range of 651 km (WLTP data)
- NVIDIA DRIVE AGX Orin computing system
- Over-the-air (OTA) software update support

Volvo Car Malaysia has also announced an early incentive of 2 percent for each ES90 purchase, limited to the first 100 units ordered by March 31, 2026.
