Aveta Malaysia announces upgrades for Ranger Max Explorer – starting price RM6,988
Aveta Malaysia has announced an update to its adventure cub model, the Ranger Max Explorer, for the 2025 model year.
Since its launch two years ago, the Ranger Max Explorer has received an enthusiastic response, thanks to its modern retro design and its ability to tackle both urban roads and off-road trails.
Building on the success of this model, the 2025 Ranger Max Explorer has been enhanced with several improvements, including front and rear disc brakes, a new mudguard and fender design, and redesigned handlebars complete with additional grip and balancer buttons.
The T-bone frame is now sturdier while maintaining a lightweight structure, ensuring stability and control similar to the previous model.
The ground clearance has also been raised to 190 mm, which is 10 mm higher than before, facilitating easier rides on off-road paths.
Several other components have also been updated, such as the shock absorbers, wiring, speedometer, throttle cable, swingarm, footpeg for passengers, main stand, and a more modern fuel pump.
Despite these upgrades, the weight of the Ranger Max Explorer remains at 115 kg.
Two variants are available in Malaysia. The Standard variant comes in Iron Grey, features 18-inch front spokes and 16-inch rear wheels, with a starting price of RM6,988.
The Special Edition (SE) variant, on the other hand, boasts an exclusive Storm Blue color, dual-tone 17-inch sport rims, tubeless tires, a stylish exhaust guard, and a selling price of RM7,188.
To celebrate the launch of this upgraded model, Aveta is offering a 36-liter storage box worth RM599 for the first 25 customers.
The Aveta Ranger Max Explorer is powered by a single-cylinder, air-cooled engine with a displacement of 127 cc, generating a power output of 10 hp at 8,000 rpm and torque of 10.5 Nm at 5,500 rpm, paired with a four-speed manual transmission.
The suspension system consists of telescopic forks at the front complemented by dual shock absorbers and a gas tank at the rear.
The fuel tank capacity is 8.5 liters, while the seat height is approximately 770 mm.
Other features include a digital meter display, LED lighting system, and the presence of storage racks in the front, middle, and rear.
Someone who loves driving manual cars but prefers riding an automatic scooter. Maybe it's an age thing.
