For those who missed the news, Kia has produced a genuine ladder-frame pickup truck to compete against rivals like the Toyota Hilux and Ford Ranger.
It has become a hot topic due to Kia’s somewhat unusual design approach.
However, if you are still interested in Kia products and want to hide that peculiar appearance, ARB, an off-road accessory company, has some offerings.
Among them is a front bull bar complete with a skid plate and recovery points.
There is also a larger bull bar with fender bars connected to a side step structure for a more aggressive look.
In addition, ARB offers several bed structure options, including an enclosed cargo space for storing camping or woodworking equipment.
Customization according to individual needs is also possible.
Other accessories that can be installed include roof racks, additional LED lights, and foldable ladders.
Given the higher ground clearance depicted in these generated images, it is not impossible that ARB will offer a suspension upgrade kit for the Kia Tasman model.
Besides ARB, Kia itself offers various accessory packages that can be directly fitted from the factory, including sport bars, off-road bumpers, snorkels, and accessories for canopies and truck beds.

Additionally, buyers will receive a logbook with an embossed leather cover to record their most treasured memories, a special keychain, and a commemorative plaque on the center console.

Each buyer will also have the opportunity to attend a 4×4 driving course to further enhance their off-road driving skills.

Introducing the Honda Super EV Concept. With a design that bears a striking resemblance, could this be the true successor to the Honda e electric hatchback?
The Honda Super EV Concept will be officially unveiled by Honda at the Goodwood Festival of Speed this July, featuring impressively compact dimensions.
As is typical for a concept model, it is still covered with camouflage stickers.
However, we can see several details, such as round-shaped headlights, a charging slot located at the front grille, wide front and rear fenders, and a flat roofline.
According to Honda, this concept is designed to showcase how a model in the A-segment can still deliver an enjoyable electric driving performance while maintaining the usability associated with the Honda brand.
They also mentioned that this sporty small model has already undergone feasibility testing in the UK as part of a broader global prototype program.
So, does this mean that Honda is ready to launch this model in the Southeast Asian market, especially in Malaysia?

Next year (2026) marks the 50th anniversary since the Golf GTI first made its debut, and Volkswagen has a unique way to celebrate this achievement.
At the Nurburgring Circuit, Volkswagen successfully set a record for the fastest lap with a time of 7 minutes and 46.13 seconds, using the hot hatch Golf GTI Edition 50.
This makes the vehicle the fastest Volkswagen brand car at the Green Hell, surpassing the Golf R 20 Years (7:47.31) and the Golf Clubsport S (7:49.21).
For information, the lap time for the Golf GTI Edition 50 was achieved on the full circuit configuration of 20.8 km, compared to the older record format (20.6 km) used for the two mentioned Golf models.
Unfortunately, the Golf GTI Edition 50 is still not quite fast enough to break the record held by its competitor, the Honda Civic Type R, in the front-wheel-drive categorywhich recorded a time of 7:44.481 in 2023.
Volkswagen will unveil the Golf GTI Edition 50 at the 24-hour endurance race at Nurburgring on June 20, featuring a Performance Package that includes lighter 19-inch alloy wheels, Bridgestone Potenza semi-slick tires, and an upgraded chassis.

The rear features the “457 TT” and “HEV” emblems, indicating that it is a hybrid SUV.
The cabin space has also seen minor changes, with an updated instrument cluster now featuring specific graphics alongside a 12.3-inch infotainment screen.

Minister of Transport, Anthony Loke, has acknowledged that the Demerit Points System for Traffic Offenses (Kejara), implemented since April 2017, is a failed and ineffective system, according to Bernama.
According to him, the current system only applies demerit points after traffic offenders have paid their fines or have been prosecuted in court, rather than starting when they receive the notice of the offense.
As a result, he announced that the Kejara system will undergo a significant overhaul soon.
“As the Minister of Transport, I admit that this Kejara system has failed because we have taken the wrong approach.
“That is why I say this system really needs to be restructured, and the ministry is exploring a new approach that will be implemented,” he stated at a press conference following the implementation ceremony for the Speed Limitation Device (SLD) for commercial vehicles at Scania (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd last week.
The Kejara system is a procedure for awarding demerit points to motor vehicle drivers who commit scheduled offenses under the Road Transport Act 1987 and its associated regulations.
Twenty offenses identified as potentially leading to serious accidents or fatalities, and that endanger other road users, are included in the list of offenses under the demerit point system.
The Ministry of Transportation, through the Road Transport Department (JPJ), will mandate the installation of speed limiting devices (SLD) on heavy vehicles in phases, starting October 1 this year, according to Bernama.
With this device, all types of heavy vehicles will have their speed limited to 90 km/h.
According to the Minister of Transportation, Anthony Loke, the initial implementation will apply to all express and tourism buses, as well as heavy vehicles with a maximum weight of 3,500 kg that were registered starting January 1, 2015.
He further explained that the activation of the SLD will be required for heavy goods vehicles with a maximum weight of 3,500 kg and vehicles carrying more than eight passengers before January 1, 2026.
This enforcement will also apply to rebuilt vehicles and imported used heavy goods vehicles with a maximum weight of 3,500 kg.
Meanwhile, vehicles exceeding 3,500 kg and vehicles that carry more than eight passengers that are not equipped with SLD will be required to retrofit the SLD, which must be certified by the JPJ before July 1, 2026.
Every installation of the SLD must be accompanied by a functional verification document from the manufacturer or vehicle producer, as well as from a workshop or service facility recognized by the JPJ and a certification body accredited by the Department of Standards Malaysia.
According to Anthony Loke, the verification document and SLD report must be renewed every two years and must be presented at the Motor Vehicle Inspection Center (PPKM) and when applying for or renewing permits at the Land Public Transport Agency (APAD).
These documents must also be carried at all times for JPJ enforcement purposes.
